| I believe that the development deserves formal recognition because of the
visual improvement to the local area, the sensitivity of design and the
quality of conservation and restoration involved. The project team displayed a "labour of love" mentality with their time, effort, patience and care. This
was a difficult project with many setbacks but one need only look at the
buildings to see perfection.
Morehampton Hall was entered for the Irish Georgian Society Architectural Conservation Award 2011. However, this
winner-takes-all award went to Russborough House, Co. Wicklow and I congratulate the Alfred Beit Foundation on same.
